I was on the forefront of the change mantra but recent events have shed a different light on the sItuation. I have been to a number of states and the talk is all the same. I sampled opinions of many and 70% have the same opinion. And its that we have entered into what is called "one chance",as Gov Fayose once said. This got me wondering what is really happening in this Country? Hmmm.
Blames have been thrown here and there, promises have been made, people have been appointed money has been spent etc. but nothing seems to be working.why?
The issue on ground boils down to personal sentiment Gram! . The Nigerian leaders always want to secure their future as a dominat force, and as I said leaders,meaning they are many! A saying goes "When Elephants fight the grass suffers the Most". This is what is happening in Nigeria. Our leaders (The ruling party) is at war with itself and the major opposition, at the expense of the masses.
I have not heard of any blue print of how to move Nigeria from its lingering current state or any permanent solutions to its current problems. It has always been electricity,water,unemployment,fund diversion,misuse of or abuse of office and payment of salaries and benefits. All these have been experienced by other countries and for them to become world powers they had to tackle them.
My questions Are;
1) Can't we learn from history?
2) Can't we demand for a solution from our leaders?
3) Can't we hold our leaders responsible for the wreck they are causing and the wreck they are causing?
The National Assembly of Nigeria, Governors, Permanent secretaries and Directors at all levels,chairmen LGA'S and the Judiciary are the problems of this country. how to make all these people in this positions move Nigeria forward is in the hands of the masses. You would ask why? They have the right and the numbers to demand for change.
